Dropbox is fab, one of my favourite apps. I’ve discovered a bonus use for it this weekend. My grandad phones up and wants to know how he can read a document on his ipad. Dropbox provided the solution in a matter of minutes. I love it.

Only just come across the blog post mate, the dropbox looks spot on, especially useful for when goign on holidays.
Quick question (I know I hsould just sign up and use it), how secure is it? For example say my laptop got stolen how easy for someone to access everything in the dorpbox? Is there a way to dissable access to the dropbox formthe laptop if it does get stolen?

I know a few people who have joined since I first mentioned it last year, and everyone sings its praises. As you say it does what it sets out to do, without complicating matters along the way.

Many thanks for this. I’ve tried other web based ones years ago which were great but still a pain. This one just looks like a normal desktop window and is amazingly simple.

I’m always forgetting my pen drive, so that solves that problem for small files. And the sharing aspect looks really useful.
