The Google Fiasco Continues
Yesterday I was the lucky recipient of yet another email from Google explaining that one of my campaigns had been suspended as it didn’t meet the T&C’s or guidelines. The campaign in question is the exact same one that was suspended only 2 weeks ago.

When I first became aware of it being suspended, I promptly fired off an email asking, why only 2 weeks ago, was my campaign and landing pages checked, and Google had confirmed it had met all their guidelines? The response? Well they cocked up when checking my account…
I have looked through the previous correspondence associated with this account and see that the reversed disapproval you are referring to was for your ‘xxxxx’ Campaign, for a non-functioning Destination URL. However, your ‘nnnnn’ ads have been disapproved per our Affiliate URL guidelines.
I fired off yet another email suggesting they revisit my account as I am sure they will find that they have their campaigns mixed up. I gave them precise dates of when the communication took place so to make their job a little easier, and asked the immediately reinstate the campaign.
I have looked again through previous correspondence associated with this account and see that you have been in contact with my colleague Jenny regarding your ‘nnnnn’ Campaign. However, in her email dated February 1, she confirmed that she had consulted our policy specialists on this matter and that they had looked at your landing page and agree that it does not comply with our guidelines.
OK, we are getting somewhere because atleast they are now looking at the right campaign, and can see that there was contact between Google and myself. However, the fact that they were now saying they confirmed my landing page does not comply with out guidelines is nothing short of a lie!
Fortunately, and very unlike me, I had actually kept the original email thread from 2 weeks ago, got home and forwarded to Google. I am intrigued as to why I had received confirmation that met the guidelines, yet I have been suspended again, and also why Google had a records of an email that simply didn’t exist.
Thank you for your email. I understand you would like your ads in Campaign ‘nnnnn’ to be reviewed by an AdWords Specialist.I can can confirm that your ads have now been reviewed and approved your ad to run on Google. I have confirmed that your ad is now active. You should now be able to see your ad, such as for the keyword ‘kkkkk’.
So far I haven’t received any response and my campaign is still sitting in suspended mode. Why is it that lately there are more and more discrepencies with Google. Do they not have any standard processes that all staff work from? Do they not keep track of their own emails they send out?
