If Carling were in the affiliate industry…

I am sure many UK affiliates are tired of hearing me babble on about Tokyo, but we are now only 4 sleeps away from a trip that promises to be out of this world. The trip was put up as an affiliate incentive by Buy.AT about this time last year, for the top 10 improved affiliates over a quarter. From these 10, I was lucky enough to be chosen out of a hat.

Infact, there is so much to do I know for a fact that we will run out of time. Luckily, I have already heard and noted a few customs to make sure we dont cause too many faux pas, such as never leaving a tip (it’s seen as being offensive), carrying food/drink using 2 hands and wearing outdoor shoes, indoors.

Thanks to Kirsty at the A4U Forums, she, via a friend, told me of other suggested places to visit and things to do, all of which are on the list, but also offered some travel tips;

  • taxi drivers/bus drivers do NOT speak English, so have a phrasebook handy
  • cash machines are notoriously poor at working with foreign cards. Take lots of cash. The machines at the post offices will work with foreign Visa cards normally.
  • transport and food are cheap, but very few english menus, so often have to guess!

So is this a holiday or an affiliate trip? Well I am taking my laptop not for working, but for keeping in touch and planning travel routes etc. One day, if I have a spare few minutes I may send you all an e-postcard ;)

Thanks mate. I will try my hardest to replicate the shot slamming that took place not so long ago, but can’t guarantee it.

Will give you all a shout when I’m back, and once again, thanks a million for the prize :)
