Taking A Leaf
I have decided to take a leaf out of Kierons book, and in the next few days will be launching a competition for one of my websites. Kierons affiliate marketing blog details his experiences as an experienced affiliate and is extremely open and honest in his advice on what he has found to work in the past. I was MSN’ing Kieron, sounding out my ideas about my up and coming competition, only a day before another competition appeared on his website completely unbeknown to me at the time.
I wondered what the response was like for previous competitions he’s held on his internet marketing blog. Was the response what he expected? Was it worth the price of the prizes he was giving away? The reason I asked Kieron was because of the experience he has had in the past with such like competitions. With prizes including an A4U Expo pass, Sony Ericsson Phone and most recently a blog redesign worth £400, he was probably the best person to judge.
Apparently, the response and quality of links generated by these and other competitions for his affiliate marketing blog and bingo website have far outweighed any initial outlay for prizes, and he encouraged me to “go forth”. If you need any other hints or tips on how to make the most out of affiliate marketing, Kierons regularly updated blog is definately one to add to your feed no matter what level of an affiliate you are. I am still learning snippets from him even after being in this game for over 6 years!
