Last Minute Tax Return
Once again, this year has been no different to the previous ones, where I keep saying I’ll submit my self assessment before the deadline. I’ve had to take today off as holiday as I’ve put off and put off until 12 hours before the deadline. Finally amongst piles of paper work enough to any environmentalist to shame, I’ve completed it online, come to submit and pay Mr Taxman only to have this screen on my PC for the past 90 minutes!
A short delay may be incurred whilst your Tax Return is submitted. We are waiting for notification that your Tax Return has been successfuly received my HM Revenue & Customs.
This proces may take a while. If you are not able to wait for a response, you can log out and return to your Tax Return later, to confirm that HM Revnue & Customs have received your Tax Return.
A while? You call 1hr 30 minutes a while? Good news is that finally they have now received it so all thats left to do is pay Mr Taxman in the next 7hrs, lets just hope the website gets quicker otherwise I’m going to miss the deadline 
Next year I swear, I am NOT leaving it until the last minute. Just you watch this space
