Wickes – A Prize Worth Going For
Only minutes after writing a post about my trip to Barbados thanks to SunShine.co.uk and Affiliate Future, do I stumble across a thread over at A4U Forums detailing another affiliate incentive.
Again this is another beauty that’s well worth going for, and is achievable by everyone, not just ‘Super Affiliates’ or ‘Pretty Good Affiliates‘ 
The Prize
The prize is a brand new bathroom (fitting excluded as far as I can see) from Wickes. Obviously the merchant that’s offering the prize is Wickes themselves, managed by Equator via the Affiliate Window network.
How To Enter
All you have to do to gain entry to the prize draw is make a single Wickes bathroom sale over £200. Each affiliate can only have one entry, so once again the chances of winning are just as good for small new affiliates, as those larger more established ones.

Nice prize indeed; used to work in Wickes and was fascinated by the soft close toilet seats.
However, I haven’t got anywhere to put a bathroom. I’ll be back in student halls in a couple of months, so there’s nowhere to put a bathroom, fitted or not!
and I need 2 new bathrooms within the next few weeks- so maybe not pin all my hopes on winning one:)
I agree, a great incentive. However, I’d like to see mercahnts offering up some prizes for affiliates to use as prizes for their customers too.

During World Cup 2006 I managed to get a handful of prizes, but it meant speaking to the merchants directly. From memory I was given goods to hand out as prizes from Prezzybox, iWoot and Savapoint.
I’m sure that giving an affiliate a prize to give away to one of their visitors would result in extra exposure especially in newsletters and such.
Try giving the merchants you do well with a shout and see what their response is.
I think this is one of those incentives that people will either love, or (if they don’t need a new bathroom) will not give two hoots about. Personally, I DO need a new bathroom, so I’ll be pulling out all the stops to try and win one – Hands off Frostie – This prize’s mine!
Agree about love/hate thing, but as they’re a DIY company I guess it would be a bit strange if they offered a 42″ Plasma or XBox
My name’s also in the hat for this one mate! The bathroom was the first thing to sort out when I moved into my house 7 years ago. Sadly a new roof, windows, doors, extension, garden, gutters, driveway, kitchen and carpets all got in the way

That is a great prize. I don’t think there would be many people who would not want a new bathroom. The benefits are great, especially if you are selling the house.
