Expose yourselfIn the past I’ve agreed to push a merchant a little harder following the issue of an exclusive code, or an increase in commissions. Often I say yes and totally forget meaning the merchant is left a little bewildered and I don’t make extra £’s whilst the increased commission levels are in place - BAD TIMES!

In an attempt to manage all the requests I get for extra exposure I’ve created a Google Calendar making it easy and quick for myself, merchants or network to see when I can fit a merchant in - GOOD TIMES!

This will hopefully aid me and others, in the planning of gaining extra exposure, especially when discount codes and commission increases are for a limited time only. The calendar basically shows which merchant is getting extra exposure, for how long, and whether its in the form of a pop-up or a page peel.

If you want to expose yourself to 1000’s of unique visitors everyday, then get in touch with me direct or your account manager and either;

  • send me some free stuff
  • increase my commissions
  • provide me with an exclusive discount code
  • pay for tenancy of a spot for 3 months

Yo Frostiemiester,

I’ve checked out the Calendar and there’s no mention of the Mighty Box in November or December!!!

What do I need to do to twist your arm?

Laters dude.

Zak.

Indeed, there is no mention of Firebox on the list, this should be sorted out…

oh, you meant Prezzybox? I see :-)

Brilliant idea with the calendar, I’m sure you’ll get a great response. Way to bring out merchants’ competitive sides!

Will drop you a line.

Cheers
Nim

Thanks guys!

At first I thought it maybe seen as a novel or gimicky way of doing things, but this is seriously going to help me out loads. It will also mean that merchants such as the mightyboxes, can if they wish, grab a spot now. Just email me the dates and what you propose in terms of bribery :)

Mark - I bet you’ve downloaded the picture and its now you desktop background ;)

I have the exact same problem Chris.
I do love google apps but I’m sure I can ignore anything added to it just as effectively as I do emails.

The best for merchants to get me to promote their wares is to MSN me (joe at cantbarsed.com) which means when we strike a deal you can nag me to do that extra promotion.

Joe
Thing is, only I can add stuff to it. It means that I don’t say yes to two merchants at the same time, but also it’s a lot easier view a webpage quickly, than it is going through loads of flamin emails.

MSN is still the best way to contact me too but not all merchants use it for some reason. Phone isn’t always possible for me, and emails just get lost in the 100+ I receive daily.

The sooner all merchants jump on MSN the better… hint hint Nimnim ;)
