Thanks Buy.At

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Buy.At for organising a fantastic football event yesterday. The event, held at Goals Soccer in Wembley, was very well received and supported, with people coming from all over the country to make up 1 of the 16 teams that entered. We were all relatively lucky with the weather, considering what some of us left up north, however the Affiliate Rovers were considerably unlucky with the Referee we had in our quarter finals.

I was very proud of how my team conducted themselves on the field, after what could only be described as a disgraceful performance from the Referee. There was also some controversay after Buy.At re-jigged the quarter final drawer, which resulted in them having a much easier passage to the finals than ourselves. This would never happen in the World Cup!

Fun time was had by all (with the exception of Tyson, who floated from team to team…. because nobody wanted him!). The cheerleaders were outstanding and the first aid treatment provided was second to none!

Sadly, there wasn’t a prize for the most gobby and argumentative manager. Had there been, I suspect I may have a little something on my fireplace as we speak ;)

    Blaming the ref – you sound like Mourinho! To be fair your lasd played pretty well and scored some nice goals.

    Any chance of getting a look at any of the video footage you took during the quarter final (and final if you have any)?

    My mates back home don’t believe I scored one goal let alone won the bloomin’ golden boot!

    I must admit, it was all meant in humour, however I think my scouse humour may have been misinterpeted by the Ref. Ah well :p
