About me
Hi and welcome to my affiliate marketing blog. For those that don’t know me, I’m Chris Frost, otherwise known as Frostie on the A4U affiliate marketing forums, and I’m a ‘plastic scouser’, being that I originate from the Wirral peninsula and not Liverpool.
Born in 1974, I started work straight after my GCSE’s and worked as a cashier for the Yorkshite Bank. After 9 months of smiling behind bullet proof glass, I moved to the insurance sector where my PC skills started to be utilised. After being with Royal Insurance for 3 years, I trained staff through the UK following the merger with Sun Alliance and continued with Royal SunAlliance for a further 4 years during which time I was introduced to the Internet by way of Gopher.
In 1999 I developed a website which consisted of 10 html pages, all of which were nothing more than images. At the same time, I changed direction in my career and went to work for Mr Willie Wonka in 2000 before they decided to make few of us redundant early in 2001. During my ‘Gardening Leave’, shall we say, I created another website that listed all the freebies you could get from online internet companies and it was at this point that I realised I could generate some extra beer tokens.
I gained fulltime employment and vowed to only stick it out for no more than 6 months, however over 6 years later, find myself still here. Being fulltime employed at the same time as an affiliate is hard, but it is something I choose to do, as I still enjoy the roles, responsibilities and challenges I face on a daily basis.
Since 2003 I’ve been very active in he UK afiliate marketing and PPC arena, yet still have a mountain of information to understand and profess to being an expert in nothing other than socialising
I attend most of the UK Affiliate Get2gethers organised by A4U and have also popped over to Vegas for the Affiliate Summit…
Oh… and I support Tranmere Rovers
