DO…
- Develop a website you are personally interested in
- Join all Affiliate Networks
- Regularly check the networks you are using, are offering the best rates
- Produce a regular newsletter for your visitors
- Strike up good communication with other affiliates, networks and even the merchants
- Take part, ask and answer questions in all the forums below (don’t just read, contribute!)
- Integrate affiliate links in your textual content
- Take time to submit your website WHEN IT IS COMPLETE to all search engines
- Ask for, and accept critique relating to your website layout
- Use your own affiliate links for you own shopping
DONT…
- Copy another person’s website
- Spam users by email or newsgroups
- Rely on banners and buttons only
- Use lots of graphics or images on your website
- Send a generic email to other sites asking for a link – be personal
- Have pop-ups. Everyone hates them and nearly all browsers now block popup adverts
- Let your website go stale
- Stop at 1 website! Think of other new websites that could also generate income
- Expect overnight success
- GIVE UP!
