Feed Your Blog To Google+

As more and more people are getting to grips with Google+ I’m seeing an increase in the number of questions being raised about linking your feeds for auto-posting purposes.

I tried to tackle this issue late in 2012, looking for an altnerative to Facebooks’ “RSS Graffiti” but found that Google hadn’t made their Google+ posting API available. This all changed in January 2013 when dlvr.it became one of the early Google+ Page Management API partners.

Eric Schmidt, Google’s chairman, has a new book coming out, and The Wall Street Journal published a number of short paragraphs from it, including one that points to the future value of Google Authorship:

Within search results, information tied to verified online profiles will be ranked higher than content without such verification, which will result in most users naturally clicking on the top (verified) results. The true cost of remaining anonymous, then, might be irrelevance.
